Harisumiran Temple Chicago proudly hosted a Women’s Empowerment event on July 14th, 2024, drawing over 200 attendees. Esteemed dignitaries, including Senator Adriane Johnson, Lake County Court Clerk Erin Weinstein, Vernon Hills Trustee Gauri Magati, HSS board member Datta Pandit, and TV Asia’s Midwest Bureau Chief Vandana Jhigan, graced the occasion. This gathering underscored the Temple’s commitment to fostering an environment where women can thrive and lead.
The event commenced with a cultural devotional dance by young Balika girls of Harisumiran Temple, followed by a dynamic panel discussion on empowering women in society. Accomplished leaders from various fields shared insights and inspiration, aiming to uplift women to pursue their ambitions confidently. Discussions highlighted cultural values of family unity and clarity of purpose.
The event featured powerful speeches from the female spiritual Head of Harisumiran Organization, P. P. Sarveshwar Ben, and addresses by Sadhvi Ben P. P. Sahjik Ben and P. P. Anami Didi, emphasizing spiritual growth, resilience, and unity among women.
Closing with a patriotic dance celebrating Hindu culture, symbolizing women’s enduring strength, the event concluded on a vibrant note. Attendees, including dignitaries, enjoyed Maha Prasad prepared by devotees of Harisumiran Temple.
