Paul Hoefert, Mayor, Village of Mount Prospect invited Hindu American Foundation (HAF) to celebrate Diwali at the Village Hall last week. The trustees, elected officials, residents of Mount Prospect, firefighters and first responders as well as the veterans were all invited and were seen in attendance. Rakesh Malhotra, Hindu American Foundation spokesperson and community leader _said, “HAF is grateful for the proclamation of November 12 as Diwali Awareness Day”. He also gave his heartfelt wishes for everyone celebrating the festival.
