OFBJP and Indian American Diaspora Celebrate BJP’s Victory in Assembly Elections

Indian Diaspora Celebrations of the victory of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) in the assembly elections of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh was organized under the leadership of Overseas Friends of BJP (OFBJP) President Dr. Adapa Prasad, core volunteers Rakesh Malhotra, Rohit Joshi, Nirmala Reddy and the Indian American Diaspora on December 17, 2023. The celebration was organized at the community center in Glenview in Chicago and was virtually attended by senior BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya, BJP national general secretary.

Mr. Vijayvargiya thanked the Diaspora for their strong support and congratulated the OFBJP members for their hard work, social media support, and call campaign. He also praised the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government’s achievements in various sectors. He said that the BJP’s victory in these states was a reflection of the people’s trust in Modi’s vision for a New India.

The event also featured speeches by well-known Philanthropist Dr Bharat Baari, Community leaders, Rakesh Malhotra, Acharya Rohit Joshi, Nirmala Reddy, Srinivas Bodige, Anil Singh, Hemant Patel, Nirav Patel and Vandana Jhingan. They highlighted the achievements of the Modi government and expressed their confidence in its prospects. They also urged the Diaspora to continue their support for the BJP and its transformative policies.

The Indian American Diaspora has been an active supporter of the BJP and its growth oriented policies. They have been instrumental in spreading awareness about the BJP’s vision and achievements among the Indian community in the US. Nirmala Reddy, volunteer Co-coordinator of Chicago Chapter said that the OFBJP has been at the forefront of these efforts, organizing various events and campaigns to engage with the community and garner support for the party.

More than three hundred people participated in the celebrations and rendered Vande Mataram and other patriotic songs. The event started with traditional lamp lighting with Vedic Mantras and ended with vote of thanks.Overall, the celebration of the BJP’s victory in the assembly elections was a testament to the strong bond between the Indian American Diaspora and their homeland said Rakesh Malhotra President of Global Indian Diaspora, Chicago.
