The Silver Senior Group hosted its highly anticipated Summer Picnic on Sunday, July 7th, at the South Pavilion of Lake Opeka, located at 1012 Touhy Avenue. The event saw an impressive turnout, with an estimated 125 seniors gathering to enjoy a day filled with fun, food, and entertainment.
Attendees were treated to a variety of activities, including Bingo and other games, music, singing, and generous gift giveaways. The picnic featured delicious food options served throughout the day, from breakfast to lunch and dinner, ensuring everyone was well-fed and satisfied.
A highlight of the event was the special address by Dr. Avi Verma, a renowned publisher and special invitee. Dr. Verma was warmly welcomed by all seniors, who were delighted and enthusiastic to hear his informative speech. He provided valuable information and insights, making a significant impact on the audience. Dr. Verma also took the opportunity to speak about Jagran TV Chicago and IndoUS Tribune, congratulating the management and attendees on the success of the picnic.
Jagran TV Chicago, established in 2003, is the first of its kind non-commercial religious channel, dedicated to bringing religious content to the Hindu community. IndoUS Tribune is a prominent Indian newspaper in Chicago, focusing on the Indo-US relationship and India’s foreign policy. The event not only provided a platform for seniors to socialize and have fun but also fostered a sense of community and support among the attendees. The Silver Senior Group’s Summer Picnic was a memorable day, leaving everyone looking forward to future gatherings.
