Raj Gandhi receives ‘Outstanding Youth Of The Year’ award

Raj Gandhi, a student at the prestigious Wayne State University of Detroit, Michigan was awarded ‘Outstanding Youth Of The Year 2024’ by Congressman Daniel K. Davis from District 7, in the presence of many dignitaries like Congressman Jonathan Jackson, Congressman Raja Krishnamurthi, AMEC Chair Dr Vijay Prabhakar, Cook County President Toni Preckwinkle and Consulate General of India Chicago Somnath Ghose.
Raj Gandhi, the son of Chicago community leader Hitesh Gandhi, aspires to be a family medicine physician who actively supports the effort to equalize access to healthcare. He is enrolled in the prestigious Wayne Med-Direct BS/MD program, maintaining a perfect GPA of 4.0. He is committed to exemplary healthcare practice and research. Raj currently works as a Diet Aide at Lutheran Home, ensuring that patient dietary needs are met. In his clinical roles, he works as a Patient Care Technician in the Cardiac/Telemetry Unit at DMC, where he enhances his skills through weekly seminars. His administrative skills were honed at Neuro Health, where he managed patient records and adhered to HIPAA guidelines. Raj also volunteers as a Listener with 7 Cups of Tea.
