4 people are dead and 2 others are injured following a shooting in Hawaii.

In a shooting incident in Honolulu County, Hawaii, four people, including the suspect, have been killed, and two others are injured, authorities reported.

Around 11:15 p.m. local time on Saturday, police responded to a call from a residence in the Waianae Valley area. According to the Honolulu Police Department, multiple 911 calls described a neighbor using a front loader to ram several cars into the house.

The suspect opened fire on individuals in the carport, hitting the victims as they tried to flee. At some point, a 42-year-old male resident fatally shot the suspect with a handgun. The resident has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder.

The police initially reported that three individuals, including the suspect, were pronounced dead at the scene, while others were taken to the hospital. Later updates confirmed that one of the wounded had died, with the remaining two still hospitalized.

Honolulu Police Chief Joe Logan stated that while there have been several violent incidents recently, this particular shooting was a result of a dispute between neighbors and was not random.

The Waianae Valley area, located on the west coast of Oahu, is experiencing increasing concerns over violent crime. Local residents have expressed frustration and concern about the rising violence, prompting calls for greater law enforcement involvement.
