Hezbollah Rockets Strike Haifa, Causing Casualties
Hezbollah launched an attack on an Israeli military base near Haifa on Sunday night, resulting in casualties, according to the group’s statement.
“In response to the targeting of civilians and the massacres committed by the Zionist enemy, the Islamic Resistance fired a salvo of ‘Fadi 1’ missiles at the Carmel base south of Haifa,” the statement read.
Hezbollah emphasized its commitment to defend Lebanon and its people, asserting that it would not hesitate to take action against Israeli aggression.
The Israeli military reported that sirens were activated late Sunday in the upper Galilee area, with around 15 projectiles identified as crossing from Lebanon. Some of these projectiles were intercepted, while others landed in the vicinity.
Israeli media reported several casualties from the rocket strikes in Haifa and Tiberias. Magen David Adom, Israel’s national emergency medical service, confirmed that one person was injured in Tiberias due to a rocket impact, and at least eight individuals were evacuated to Rambam Health Care Campus in Haifa for medical treatment following the attack.
This incident follows a period of heightened tensions, as the Israeli army has been conducting intensive operations against Hezbollah since September 23, marking a dangerous escalation in the conflict.
