US-India Strategic Partnership Forum Launches in New Delhi

The US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) commenced in New Delhi on Sunday with a meeting between its Board of Directors and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar. The Minister highlighted key strategies to enhance US-India strategic and economic ties, emphasizing the natural synergy between the two nations, according to a USISPF statement.

Jaishankar, in a discussion with USISPF Chairman John T. Chambers, outlined significant opportunities for American investors and the importance of policy continuity under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He also encouraged Board members to support the “PM’s Internship Scheme,” aimed at improving youth employability and creating a skilled workforce for future challenges.

The forum seeks to foster a robust partnership between the US and India, functioning as an independent not-for-profit entity dedicated to strengthening bilateral relations.

The summit aims to address key priorities such as enhancing supply chains, boosting semiconductor investments, advancing AI and next-gen technologies, strengthening defense ties, promoting clean energy, and expanding bilateral trade. Both democracies are committed to securing a free and open Indo-Pacific.

The day-long event will feature sessions with senior officials, including Piyush Goyal (Union Minister of Commerce and Industry), Dharmendra Pradhan (Union Education Minister), and other prominent leaders from various sectors, focusing on trade, defense, technology, education, energy, start-ups, healthcare, and cultural exchanges.
