PM Modi Highlights Achievements of Modi 3.0 Government at NDTV World Summit

At the two-day NDTV World Summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi outlined the accomplishments of his government during the first 125 days of its third term, emphasizing India’s rapid progress across various sectors.

“India’s pace and scale are unprecedented. In these 125 days, we have approved around three crore new houses for the underprivileged, initiated Rs 9 lakh crore in infrastructure projects, introduced 15 new Vande Bharat trains, and begun construction on eight new airports,” PM Modi stated at the summit, themed ‘The India Century,’ attended by notable global leaders.

He highlighted that his government allocated Rs 2 lakh crore for youth initiatives and directly transferred Rs 21,000 crore to farmers’ accounts. Additionally, a new scheme providing free medical treatment up to Rs 5 lakh for senior citizens over 70 was launched. Modi also noted the installation of rooftop solar panels in nearly 5 lakh homes, an increase in foreign exchange reserves from $650 billion to over $700 billion, and a 6-7% growth in Sensex and Nifty. The campaign ‘Ek Ped Maa Naam’ has successfully seen the planting of 90 crore trees, he added.

During the summit, PM Modi also launched ‘NDTV World,’ a new channel from NDTV. Following his address, other prominent figures, including Bhutan PM Tshering Tobgay, Barbados PM Mia Mottley, former UK PM David Cameron, and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, will discuss pressing global issues.

In his opening remarks, PM Modi addressed contemporary global concerns, highlighting the shared anxieties regarding the future. He noted how the COVID-19 pandemic prompted discussions on health crises, economic challenges, inflation, unemployment, and climate change, alongside conflicts disrupting global supply chains and causing loss of innocent lives.

“In the midst of these global instabilities, India stands as a beacon of hope. While we are not immune to global challenges, there is an undeniable positivity in India. We are discussing ‘The Indian Century,'” he asserted.
