Delhi School Blast: Police Investigate Possible Khalistani Connection Following Telegram Post

The Delhi Police are investigating a potential Khalistani link to a blast that damaged a wall at a CRPF school in Rohini, triggered by a threatening social media post that has since gone viral.

Police officials have reached out to the messaging platform Telegram to gather information about a pro-Khalistani channel that claimed responsibility for the explosion on Sunday. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported from the incident, which caused significant alarm across the national capital.

The investigation was prompted by a Telegram post alleging that the blast was retaliation for the alleged targeting of pro-Khalistani separatists by Indian agents. Authorities are particularly focusing on the channel named ‘Justice League India,’ which reportedly posted a video of the explosion featuring a “Khalistan Zindabad” watermark.

This video claimed that Khalistani operatives orchestrated the attack and issued direct threats. Following its posting, the video was quickly disseminated across various Telegram channels, particularly those operating out of Pakistan and often associated with sharing information on terrorist activities in Kashmir.

Initial investigations have indicated that the explosion involved an improvised explosive device (IED) likely triggered by a remote or timer, lacking deadly shrapnel, and was probably placed late Saturday night. Witnesses reported the blast occurring between 7:35 and 7:40 am on Sunday, noting a subsequent foul smell and vibrations felt throughout the neighborhood.

Central agencies’ ongoing investigations have uncovered traces of low explosives at the scene. In addition to a powdery substance, wires were discovered, and officials from the National Security Guard (NSG) found a battery and additional wiring, which are currently being examined for their potential involvement in the incident.
