FIA Chicago’s free medical camp in Naperville provides care to over 400 patients
On April 19, 2025, the Mall of India in Naperville became a beacon of compassion as the Federation of Indian Associations (FIA) – Chicago, in partnership with the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) and the Indian American Medical Association (IAMA), hosted a free medical camp that served over 400 individuals in need of healthcare services.
More than 50 physicians, 90+ student and youth volunteers, and a community of over 600 people came together for this impactful event. From early morning until afternoon, the venue was transformed into a vibrant hub offering free consultations, screenings, and wellness advice in a wide range of specialties, including cardiology, internal medicine, pediatrics, psychiatry, dentistry, chiropractic care, Ayurveda, and nutrition.
One of the day’s highlights was a special 30-minute yoga session led by FIA President Anu Malhotra, a certified yoga instructor. The session, accompanied by live music, provided participants with tools for emotional balance, physical wellness, and mindfulness, further emphasizing a holistic approach to health. The IndoUS Tribune extends heartfelt congratulations to Anu Malhotra, Sunil Shah (Founder Chairman), and their team for organizing this impactful event. Their leadership and unwavering dedication helped make the medical camp a shining example of community service.
