External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met Danish Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen in Copenhagen on Wednesday, praising Denmark’s strong support in the fight against terrorism and discussing broader bilateral and global issues.

“Delighted to meet FM Lars Lokke Rasmussen. Denmark’s strong solidarity on combatting terrorism has been truly commendable,” Jaishankar posted on X after the meeting, highlighting the strength of India-Denmark relations.

Earlier, Jaishankar met Soren Gade, Speaker of the Danish Parliament, appreciating his continued support for India-Denmark ties and his stand against terrorism.

Jaishankar also interacted with the Indian community in Copenhagen, acknowledging their role in strengthening India’s image abroad. “They hold the Indian flag high in Denmark,” he said.

The visit is part of his official tour to the Netherlands, Denmark, and Germany from May 19 to 24. In Denmark, Jaishankar also met Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and discussed the Green Strategic Partnership. He later held talks with Danish Minister for Industry, Business, and Financial Affairs Morten Bodskov to explore deeper cooperation.
