
Bharatiya Senior Citizens of Chicago host Grand 2025 Karaoke & Talent Show

Bharatiya Senior Citizens of Chicago (BSC) hosted their much-anticipated Karaoke Song and Grand Talent Show at the Rana Reagan Center in Carol Stream on May 17, drawing a crowd of over 800 attendees. The vibrant event was organized by the BSC Karaoke Club and highlighted the creativity and passion of senior community members.
The program began at 3:00 PM with a warm welcome and floral greetings, followed by the inauguration of Talent Show Part 1, which showcased more than 40 senior participants. Performances spanned a wide range of art forms—from classic Bollywood melodies and patriotic songs to Garba, ghazals, skits, dance, and keyboard renditions.
The second segment of the show began at 7:00 PM, featuring memorable performances of timeless Bollywood numbers such as “Man Tarpat Hari Darshan Ko Aaj” and “Janam Dekh Lo.” The audience was transported through decades of Indian music, reliving golden hits by legends like Mukesh, Mohammed Rafi, Kishore Kumar, and Udit Narayan.Mini theatrical skits like Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman added variety and humor to the evening, while the skilled emceeing brought extra charm and energy to the program. The combination of music, drama, and nostalgia created a truly festive atmosphere.
All participants were honored with special certificates and insulated water bottles gifted by the Sona Foundation. In a moment of recognition, the anchor of the evening was also awarded a certificate for best anchoring.
BSC expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed behind the scenes—choreographers, organizers, photographers, and technical teams—whose efforts ensured the event’s smooth execution and success.The celebration stood as a beautiful example of community spirit, creativity, and cultural pride among Chicago’s senior citizens.
