8 IRGC commanders killed in Israeli airstrikes

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has confirmed the deaths of eight senior aerospace division commanders in Israeli airstrikes on Tehran, carried out on Friday.

In a statement released via Sepah News, the IRGC mourned the “martyrdom” of the officers and identified them as Mahmoud Bagheri, Davoud Sheikhian, Mohammad-Bagher Taherpour, Mansour Safarpour, Masoud Tayyeb, Khosrow Hassani, Javad Jorsara, and Mohammad Aghajafari.

The airstrikes, which also targeted Iranian nuclear facilities, killed multiple top military leaders and scientists. Among those reportedly killed were Chief of Staff Mohammad Bagheri, IRGC Commander Hossein Salami, Central Command head Gholam-Ali Rashid, and Aerospace Division head Amir Ali Hajizadeh.

In retaliation, Iran launched waves of missile strikes on Israeli targets on Friday and Saturday, resulting in casualties and significant damage. According to Israel’s Magen David Adom (MDA), at least three Israelis were killed and over 200 injured. A woman died when a rocket struck a residential building in northern Israel, and 13 others were wounded.

Israel’s Home Front Command has advised citizens outside the Haifa and northern regions that they may leave shelters but must stay near protected areas. The Israeli military continues to intercept incoming missiles and carry out retaliatory strikes on military targets in Tehran.

The escalating conflict between Iran and Israel has entered a dangerous phase, with both sides sustaining losses and tensions drawing global concern.
