The legacy of Rajput warrior Maharana Pratap came alive in Mumbai this week as the organization Mein BHARAT Hoon hosted a two-day cultural celebration to mark his birth anniversary. Held at Bollywood Park in Film City, the event drew large crowds and featured a professionally choreographed theatrical performance honoring Pratap’s courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to freedom.
The skit narrated key moments from Maharana Pratap’s life, including his early struggles, battles against the Mughal empire, and the legendary role of his horse Chetak, who died protecting his master in the Battle of Haldighati. Presented by a cast of trained stage actors, the performance was coordinated by Ekta, Archana, Sheetal, and Nisha, and received acclaim from both attendees and online viewers across the globe.Arun Mundra, international coordinator for Mein BHARAT Hoon, emphasized the event’s mission to instill pride in India’s heritage and highlight the values of self-respect, patriotism, and resistance. “Our goal is to inspire the younger generation with stories of real courage,” he said.
Mundra also referenced the continued symbolic resistance of the ‘gadoliya lohar’ (roaming blacksmith) community, who centuries ago vowed not to return to royal life until Mewar was freed from Mughal control—a vow they still uphold today. As part of the event, Mundra welcomed key dignitaries including Rajasthan minister Jhabar Singh Khara, industry minister KK Vishnoi, and Rajya Sabha member Rajendra Gehlot. Also in attendance were community leaders and media representatives, including those from IndoUS Tribune.
Rajasthan MLA Deepti Kiran Maheshwari, daughter of the late Kiran Maheshwari—widely known as the ‘Lioness of Mewar’—sent her wishes and highlighted her recent efforts to honor descendants of Haldi Ghati warriors.
Mundra, who recently participated in the Rising Rajasthan summit in Jaipur inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, used the opportunity to further connect cultural and political leaders in support of heritage preservation.
The event concluded with a strong message of cultural pride and historical remembrance, reinforcing Maharana Pratap’s enduring legacy in modern India.
