Texas cities honor Mahesh Navami as NRI Maheshwaris amplify global humanitarian impact
Fort Bend County and the City of Stafford in Texas officially recognized Mahesh Navami with proclamations this June, honoring the Maheshwari community’s global contributions and humanitarian outreach. The proclamations, coordinated by Houston-based NRI leader Arun Mundra, mark yet another milestone in his ongoing efforts to spotlight the Maheshwari legacy of service and unity worldwide.
County Judge KP George praised the community’s commitment to ‘Seva, Tyag and Sadhachar’ (Service, Sacrifice, and High Moral Values), noting their pandemic relief work, MSME support, and youth leadership initiatives. Stafford Mayor Ken Mathew emphasized the Maheshwaris’ dedication to philanthropy and progressive change, influenced by Mundra’s updates on their global engagement.Mahesh Navami greetings poured in from around the world—Singapore, Indonesia, the UK, Germany, and the Middle East—many thanking Mundra for past aid during crises. From supporting stranded families during the pandemic to mobilizing solidarity after the Pahalgam attack, Mundra’s global coordination continues to unify and empower the diaspora.
Celebrations included cultural tributes like Shiv bhajans by singer Seema Soaboo Moondra and messages from figures like Ravidrums, who has previously performed in Maheshwari events. The Maheshwari Global Coordination team, alongside co-leader Dheeraj Rathi, also called for participation in the upcoming Maheshwari Global Convention.
By blending cultural pride with global purpose, Mahesh Navami 2025 became more than a festival—it became a reaffirmation of values that transcend borders, uniting Maheshwaris and Sanatanis in a shared commitment to service, community, and Bharat.
