The Kadva Patidar Samaj of Chicago brought the spirit of Navratri alive on Saturday with its Annual Garba and Raas celebration at the Jain Temple in Bartlett, Illinois. The event drew more than 1,000 members, families, and friends, filling the venue with devotion, music, and dance.

The evening featured traditional highlights including the Shree Umiya Mataji Rath, Aartis for both Shree Ambe Maa and Umiya Mataji, along with spirited Tali Garbas and Raas Garba. The festivities culminated in an energetic Sanedo, keeping the community dancing late into the night.

A live ensemble led by renowned vocalist Anushka Pandit, with exceptional support from India’s Max Rathod, kept the rhythms flowing. After the first round of Garba, the crowd gathered for Maha Aarti and then shared Maha Prasad, before returning to the floor for an exhilarating round of Dandiya Raas until close to midnight.

The temple grounds were adorned with festive décor, creating an inviting atmosphere and perfect backdrop for photographs. Guests also enjoyed a variety of food options provided by Tasty Bites USA.

The success of the event was credited to the generous support of Mithabhai and Jayantibhai’s family of Orland Park, along with the dedication of trustees, volunteers, and especially the younger generation, whose energy and service ensured the celebration ran smoothly.

This year’s gathering reaffirmed the Kadva Patidar Samaj’s role as a cultural cornerstone in Chicago, blending devotion with joyous celebration while bringing the community together in the true spirit of Navratri.
