The McLean Community Care Fair 2025 was held successfully on October 10 and 11, 2025, in Normal, Illinois, uniting more than 50 community organizations and service providers in a shared mission — to promote health, wellness, and access to essential resources for Central Illinois residents.

The fair was organized by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL), which brought together a wide range of vendors and community partners to provide free services and education. Among the notable participants was the Chicago Indo-US Lions Club, which offered free vision and hearing screenings, along with mental health awareness resources to attendees.

Other key organizations included the Secretary of State’s Office, providing driver’s license information; the Social Security Administration and Department of Human Services, offering assistance with benefits and support programs; and nonprofit health groups such as the Kidney Foundation and Diabetes Awareness educators, who shared practical tips on diet, portion control, and healthy living.

In addition, BCBSIL organized fresh fruit and vegetable distributions, ensuring that families in attendance had access to nutritious food while learning about healthy dietary choices.

Held at a local church in rural McLean County, the fair marked the first event of its kind in the region, creating a vital bridge between residents and the services they need most. Many participants expressed gratitude for the opportunity to connect directly with healthcare providers and agencies in a welcoming community setting.

“This fair brought essential information and hope to families who often travel long distances for such services,” said one volunteer. “It’s a true example of community coming together for the well-being of all.”
