EAM Jaishankar urges global zero-tolerance on terrorism in talks with Israeli FM Gideon Sa’ar

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar reaffirmed India’s unwavering solidarity with Israel, stressing the shared challenge of terrorism and calling for a global zero-tolerance approach to it in all forms.

During his meeting with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar in New Delhi, Jaishankar highlighted the depth of India–Israel strategic ties built on trust, reliability, and mutual support. He emphasized that both nations have consistently stood by each other in challenging times and now seek to further strengthen cooperation in key sectors including infrastructure, renewable energy, and healthcare.

Welcoming Sa’ar on his first visit to India, Jaishankar said the meeting would enable both sides to review bilateral progress and explore new areas of collaboration. He noted the recent signing of a bilateral investment agreement and frequent ministerial-level visits as signs of growing engagement.

Jaishankar also expressed support for the Gaza Peace Plan, emphasizing India’s hope for a durable and lasting solution to the regional conflict. He welcomed the return of hostages and extended condolences for the victims of the ongoing crisis.

The EAM further noted the increasing presence of Indian workers in Israel, underscoring the need to address their concerns under the nations’ mobility frameworks.

Both ministers also discussed cooperation in multilateral and plurilateral platforms, reaffirming their commitment to deepen the India–Israel strategic partnership across defence, technology, and innovation.
