India AI Impact Summit 2026: Seattle hosts first U.S. curtain-raiser with lawmakers and tech leaders

The Consulate General of India in Seattle launched the first international curtain-raiser for the India AI Impact Summit 2026, bringing together senior U.S. lawmakers and leading technology executives for an in-depth briefing on India’s growing artificial intelligence ecosystem. The session, held on November 7, 2025 at the Consulate’s new chancery, highlighted the summit’s central themes of People, Planet, and Progress.

The roundtable gathered prominent Tech CEOs from the Greater Seattle region, offering a platform for discussion on how India’s rapidly evolving AI environment is shaping global technological collaboration. Experts delivered presentations on the expanding role of AI in agriculture, along with the rising opportunities in India’s data center and digital infrastructure sectors, both of which are poised to become foundational pillars of the country’s AI-driven growth.

Congressman Adam Smith, Ranking Member of the House Armed Services Committee, and Congressman Michael Baumgartner, who serves on the House Judiciary and Foreign Affairs Committees, were among the key U.S. participants. They received a detailed overview of India’s advancements in artificial intelligence, including the Summit’s framework of Seven Chakras for Global Cooperation, which outlines priorities such as safe and trusted AI, human capital development, scientific research, innovation resilience, social inclusion, democratized AI resources, and socially impactful economic growth.

Consulate officials noted that this session marks the beginning of a series of planned outreach events. Additional briefings and workshops will be organized in January 2026 at leading Pacific Northwest universities and in partnership with major AI industry stakeholders.

The India AI Impact Summit 2026, scheduled for February 19 and February 20, 2026 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, will be the first global artificial intelligence summit hosted in the Global South. It aims to unite governments, industry experts, researchers, and startups from around the world to advance the vision of “AI for All” and promote global collaboration for responsible and people-centered technological progress.
