Trump says US reshaped global dynamics through assertive diplomacy and economic push

US President Donald Trump on Friday said his administration had fundamentally reshaped global dynamics through a combination of assertive diplomacy, decisive military action, and an aggressive economic strategy, outlining what he described as major foreign policy and domestic economic achievements during remarks at an event in Florida.

Trump said US actions abroad had delivered swift and measurable results, particularly in regions long plagued by instability. “We have peace in the Middle East. Nobody thought that was going to be possible,” he said, crediting multiple diplomatic agreements reached within a short span of time. He portrayed these developments as evidence of a foreign policy approach built on strength and deterrence rather than prolonged negotiations.

The president also claimed that US intervention helped prevent a potential conflict between two nuclear-armed neighbours, India and Pakistan. According to Trump, American diplomatic engagement played a critical role in de-escalation, saving “many millions of people” from the consequences of a possible war. He did not provide specific operational details but said the effort reflected Washington’s renewed global leadership.

On Iran, Trump asserted that the country’s nuclear ambitions had been decisively dismantled. He said the United States had “obliterated Iran’s nuclear enrichment capacity” through what he called Operation Midnight Hammer, arguing that the action eliminated a major threat to global security. He also cited earlier military operations against high-profile militant figures, including the founder of ISIS and Iranian General Qassem Soleimani, saying such actions restored American credibility and deterrence.

Trump further claimed that the United States had apprehended Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, describing him as an “outlaw” and asserting that no other country could have carried out such an operation. He framed the move as part of a broader effort to reset relations in the Western Hemisphere and ease regional instability, though no additional details were offered during the speech.

Turning to the economy, Trump said his policies had triggered unprecedented foreign investment in the United States. “We have $18 trillion being invested,” he said, adding that the figure could rise further as confidence in the US economy continued to grow. He attributed the surge to tax cuts, deregulation, and a tariff-driven trade strategy aimed at protecting domestic industries.

According to Trump, tariffs played a central role in pushing companies to relocate manufacturing operations back to the United States. “They don’t want to pay the tariffs,” he said, calling the approach a “pretty simple formula.” He claimed factory construction was expanding at historic levels across sectors ranging from automobiles to advanced technology.

Trump also pointed to strong stock market performance and retirement savings growth, saying 401(k) accounts were performing better than ever. On immigration, he said his administration had fully secured the southern border, describing illegal crossings as an “invasion” that had been stopped. Enforcement efforts, he added, focused on violent criminals and gangs, while legal immigration continued through established channels.
