Trump calls for unconditional surrender as condition for Iran deal

US President Donald Trump has ruled out the possibility of reaching an agreement with Iran unless the country accepts what he described as “unconditional surrender,” signaling a hardline approach toward Tehran amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.

In a message posted on his Truth Social platform, Trump said that any future settlement with Iran would begin only after the country capitulates and a new leadership structure acceptable to the United States and its allies emerges.

“There will be no deal with Iran except UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!” Trump wrote, emphasizing that Washington is unwilling to negotiate under the current conditions with Iran’s existing leadership.

The statement reflects a significant escalation in rhetoric as tensions between the United States and Iran continue to rise, fueling uncertainty across the region and raising concerns among global policymakers.

Trump suggested that once Iran accepts such terms, the United States and its partners would work toward establishing a new leadership structure in the country and helping stabilize its political and economic system.

“After that, and the selection of a GREAT & ACCEPTABLE Leader(s), we, and many of our wonderful and very brave allies and partners, will work tirelessly to bring Iran back from the brink of destruction,” Trump said.

The US President also outlined a broader vision for Iran’s future, suggesting that the country could experience economic revival under a different political leadership supported by Washington and its partners.

According to Trump, international cooperation following such a transition could help rebuild Iran’s economy and integrate it more closely into global markets.

“Making it economically bigger, better and stronger than ever before,” he said, adding that Iran could have a prosperous future if it chooses a different political path.

“Iran will have a great future,” Trump added, concluding the message with the slogan “MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN (MIGA!).”

Meanwhile, Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi made a separate statement on social media, claiming that many Iranians have asked him to assume a leadership role during a potential transitional period following the fall of the current regime.

Pahlavi said he had accepted the responsibility and pledged to guide the country toward stability and democratic governance.

“My commitment is that this transition will be orderly, the country will be stabilized, and Iranians will determine their future through the ballot box,” he said.

He also emphasized that any transition would avoid repeating mistakes seen in other regime changes and would seek to maintain stability by retaining many government employees and public servants.

The developments highlight the growing geopolitical uncertainty surrounding Iran’s future and underscore the widening gap between Washington and Tehran as tensions continue to unfold.
