Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared that Israel will continue its military campaign against Iran with what he described as “full force and uncompromising momentum,” signalling that the conflict between the two regional powers could intensify in the coming days.

In a televised statement from Jerusalem, Netanyahu said Israel has a well-prepared strategy aimed at weakening Iran’s leadership and military capabilities. According to him, the operation includes multiple phases and several strategic elements designed to pressure Tehran.

“Israel has a comprehensive plan, and there are many surprises ahead,” Netanyahu said, adding that the objective is to undermine the Iranian regime’s ability to threaten Israel and its allies.

Addressing the people of Iran directly, the Israeli leader insisted that Israel’s actions are not aimed at dividing the country but rather at challenging the current leadership. “The moment of truth is approaching. We do not seek to divide Iran, but to liberate it and live with it in peace,” he said.

Netanyahu also criticised the United Nations, accusing the global body of unfairly condemning Israel while ignoring what he called violence by Iran-backed groups in the region. He argued that Israel’s actions were part of a broader effort to counter threats from Iranian proxies operating across the Middle East.

The Israeli Prime Minister also issued a warning to Lebanon, urging its government to enforce the ceasefire agreement and disarm Hezbollah. Netanyahu cautioned that failure to control the armed group could lead to serious consequences for Lebanon if hostilities continue.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump said that the United States had inflicted significant damage on Iran’s military infrastructure during the ongoing conflict. Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump claimed that joint US-Israeli operations had severely weakened Iran’s naval and air capabilities.

According to Trump, dozens of Iranian naval vessels had been destroyed and the country’s air force had suffered heavy losses. He also stated that American strikes had targeted missile systems and launch facilities, significantly reducing Iran’s ability to launch retaliatory attacks.

Trump said around 70 percent of Iran’s rocket launchers had been destroyed, making it increasingly difficult for Tehran to sustain large-scale missile operations.

While Washington indicated it holds strong leverage in the situation, the US President suggested that negotiations with Iran were not currently a priority.

The rapidly escalating conflict has raised concerns about wider instability in the Middle East, as regional and global powers closely monitor the situation and its potential consequences.
