Trump claims economic surge during Ohio rally, highlights tax cuts and investments

US President Donald Trump told supporters at a rally in Ohio that the United States is experiencing a strong economic surge driven by tax cuts, corporate investments, and expanded domestic energy production.

Speaking on Wednesday at a logistics company facility in Cincinnati, Ohio, Trump defended his administration’s economic policies and urged voters to support Republican candidates in upcoming elections.

The rally was held at a family-owned logistics firm that employs about 2,600 workers. Trump cited the company’s expansion plans as an example of what he described as renewed economic momentum under his leadership.

“Thanks to the record-setting tax cuts that we passed and the great big beautiful bill, the biggest tax cuts in the history of our country,” Trump said while outlining his administration’s economic agenda.

He said the tax reductions had encouraged businesses to invest in equipment and expand operations. According to Trump, the logistics company hosting the event plans to purchase new tractor trailers and open warehouses in two additional states.

Trump also promoted policies aimed at increasing workers’ take-home pay. He highlighted the elimination of taxes on overtime earnings, saying the measure would benefit employees who work extra hours.

“That means every extra hour you work, your overtime pay is now 100 percent tax free,” he said.

In addition, Trump referred to initiatives eliminating taxes on tips and reducing taxes on Social Security benefits, which he argued would help many households increase disposable income.

During the speech, the president also pointed to stock market performance and retirement savings as indicators of a strengthening US economy since he returned to office.

Trump highlighted major corporate investment announcements as further evidence of economic growth. He referred to plans by Ford Motor Company to build a large assembly plant in Kentucky and claimed that Apple was investing heavily in domestic manufacturing facilities.

“Factories all being made in Kentucky. And Apple is spending $650 billion on new plants all over the United States,” Trump said.

Energy policy was another key theme of the rally. Trump said his administration had expanded fossil fuel production and eased environmental regulations in order to boost domestic energy output.

“We massively increased production of American oil, natural gas, and clean, beautiful Kentucky coal,” he said.

Trump also promoted a federal initiative aimed at lowering prescription drug prices and directed supporters to a government website where they could view the new pricing measures.

The president used the rally to criticise political opponents and stressed the importance of the upcoming midterm elections.

“We have to win. The midterms are going to be very, very important,” he said.

Trump also briefly referred to ongoing US military operations involving Iran, saying the administration would continue its actions until its objectives were achieved.

He concluded by saying that the country had recovered from economic and security challenges inherited from the previous administration.
