Anti-Trump No Kings rallies grow across US and European cities

Large-scale “No Kings” protests swept across the United States and parts of Europe, as demonstrators rallied against President Donald Trump and the ongoing war in Iran.

The state of Minnesota emerged as the focal point of the movement, with tens of thousands gathering outside the State Capitol in St. Paul. Organisers said the demonstrations were part of a coordinated effort expected to draw millions of participants across multiple cities.

Protesters voiced opposition to US foreign policy, particularly military actions in Iran, as well as domestic concerns linked to the Trump administration. Marchers chanted slogans, carried placards, and gathered in public spaces to express dissent and demand policy changes.

Beyond the United States, solidarity rallies were also reported in several European cities, reflecting growing international concern over escalating geopolitical tensions and their global implications.

The demonstrations underscore rising political activism and deepening divisions, with large crowds mobilising around themes of democracy, governance, and opposition to perceived concentration of power.
