United Senior Pariwar of Chicago marks 18 years of service, culture and fellowship

United Senior Pariwar of Chicago celebrated its 18th anniversary on June 13, 2026, at the National India Hub in Schaumburg, bringing together members, community leaders and distinguished guests for an afternoon filled with music, cultural pride and fellowship.

The celebration reflected the organization’s long-standing commitment to serving senior citizens and preserving Indian cultural values in the Chicago area. The program began with a traditional Deep Pragatya ceremony accompanied by Vedic chants, setting a spiritual and festive tone for the gathering.

Consul General of India in Chicago Somnath Ghosh attended as the chief guest and addressed the community. In his remarks, he praised the contributions of first-generation Indian immigrants and highlighted the important role Indian Americans continue to play in strengthening relations between India and the United States. He also encouraged senior citizens to remain socially active, support one another and continue nurturing the spirit of community that remains central to Indian culture.

The anniversary program featured energetic performances by acclaimed Bollywood singers Sanjay Vasita and Shefali Goswami, accompanied by local musician Hitesh Master and his orchestra. Their songs captivated the audience and soon inspired members to join in dancing and Garba, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere.

During the event, United Senior Pariwar of Chicago honored its founders and early leaders for their vision, dedication and service in building the organization over the past 18 years. The group also expressed appreciation for volunteers, committee members, supporters and sponsors whose continued efforts have helped the organization grow.

Members celebrating June birthdays were also recognized, with sweets distributed and prayers offered for their health, happiness and prosperity. Guests enjoyed refreshments, including ice cream during the intermission, adding to the warmth of the celebration.

United Senior Pariwar of Chicago leaders thanked community organizations, businesses, individual sponsors, volunteers, the kitchen committee and media representatives for supporting the anniversary program.

The event concluded on a cheerful note as members looked ahead to upcoming activities, including the organization’s summer picnic. The milestone celebration highlighted United Senior Pariwar of Chicago’s enduring role in promoting friendship, cultural connection, community service and the well-being of seniors across the Chicago area.
