Devotion and community spirit mark Shri Ganesh Mahotsav and Hanuman Temple Havan in Ludhiana
A series of spiritually uplifting events drew large gatherings of devotees across Ludhiana as Shri Siddhi Vinayak Mandir, New Maya Nagar, and Siddh Peeth Mahabali Sankatmochan Shri Hanuman Mandir, Joshi Nagar Dham, organized major religious programs celebrating Sanatan traditions, devotion, and community harmony.
Shri Ganesh Mahotsav celebrations
As part of the 23rd Annual Shri Ganesh Mahotsav, Shri Siddhi Vinayak Mandir successfully organized the first and second weekly palki yatras of Lord Shri Siddhi Vinayak with great religious fervor and enthusiasm. The beautifully decorated palki carrying the idol of Lord Ganesha passed through various neighborhoods of Haibowal Kalan, Baba Colony, Durga Puri, and New Maya Nagar amid continuous chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya.”
The yatras commenced with Ganesh Vandana and devotional kirtan, after which the palki was ceremonially taken through the locality. At several locations along the route, devotees welcomed the procession with flower showers, traditional aarti, and offerings of laddoos, creating a vibrant atmosphere of faith and celebration.
The weekly processions concluded with devotional prayers at designated host residences, where devotees sought the blessings of Lord Ganesha for peace, prosperity, and happiness.
The temple management stated that the annual Ganesh Mahotsav has become an important platform for preserving Sanatan values, Indian traditions, and cultural heritage while inspiring younger generations to remain connected with their religious roots. They emphasized that such celebrations not only strengthen devotion but also foster unity, harmony, and collective participation within society.
The second palki yatra was attended by several distinguished guests from religious and social organizations, who appreciated the temple’s continued efforts in promoting Hindu culture and religious awareness. They noted that the temple has been playing a significant role in spreading spiritual values and encouraging community participation through its year-round religious activities.
Hanuman temple continues weekly Havan Yajna tradition
Meanwhile, Siddh Peeth Mahabali Sankatmochan Shri Hanuman Mandir organized its 1,353rd consecutive weekly Havan Yajna, continuing a remarkable tradition of uninterrupted Vedic worship.
The sacred fire ritual was performed according to Vedic customs by the temple priests, with devotees offering oblations while praying for world peace, national progress, family well-being, and universal welfare.
Addressing the gathering, the temple management described the Havan Yajna as one of the most precious traditions of Sanatan Dharma, emphasizing that it is not merely a religious ritual but a sacred practice dedicated to the welfare of humanity, harmony in society, and environmental balance.
They encouraged devotees, particularly the younger generation, to actively participate in such spiritual traditions to preserve India’s rich cultural and religious heritage for future generations.
