BAGESHWAR DHAM — A unique blend of faith, devotion and the sacred bond between brothers and sisters was witnessed at Bageshwar Dham during the auspicious festival of Raksha Bandhan.

Thousands of women from different parts of India and abroad arrived at the Dham to celebrate the festival with Bageshwar Sarkar. Sitting on the platform, Bageshwar Sarkar accepted rakhis from the women, many of whom regard him as their brother and tied the sacred thread on his wrist with affection and devotion.

Raksha Bandhan is traditionally celebrated as a symbol of love, trust and the brother’s commitment to protect his sister. Reflecting this bhawna, a large number of women gathered at Bageshwar Dham to express their spiritual connection and affection.

Women from across the country and overseas tied rakhis on Bageshwar Sarkar’s wrist and prayed for his long life, happiness and prosperity. The atmosphere at the Dham was festive, with visible excitement and joy among the devotees.

After tying the sacred thread, many women also sought his blessings. The occasion reflected the special spiritual bond that many devotees believe transcends geographical boundaries. Several women living outside India also consider Bageshwar Sarkar their brother and connect with him during Raksha Bandhan to make the celebration particularly meaningful.

As part of the traditional observance, Bageshwar Sarkar presented gifts and dakshina to the women who tied rakhis, adding to the warmth and spirit of the occasion.

The celebration once again highlighted the enduring cultural significance of Raksha Bandhan and the emotional bonds associated with the sacred thread of protection. The large gathering transformed Bageshwar Dham into a vibrant celebration of sibling affection and faith.
