Hemant Jain Appointed as New President of PHDCCI

Hemant Jain has been officially appointed as the new President of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), as announced on Saturday. He succeeds Sanjeev Agrawal, who will now serve as the immediate past president of the prominent industry chamber.

Rajeev Juneja has been appointed as Senior Vice President, while Anil Gupta takes on the role of Vice President, according to a statement from PHDCCI.

Jain expressed his honor in leading the organization during this pivotal time, stating, “I am committed to building on the strong foundation laid by my predecessors and working closely with all stakeholders to drive innovation, industry growth, and a self-reliant India for Viksit Bharat by 2047, as we strive for progress.”

Juneja emphasized his commitment to collaborating with Jain to enhance the Chamber’s initiatives and promote a favorable business environment in India.

Dr. Ranjeet Mehta, CEO and Secretary General of PHDCCI, welcomed the new leadership team, noting their extensive experience and vision would be vital in advocating for industry interests and contributing to nation-building efforts.

Outgoing president Agrawal expressed confidence that under Jain’s leadership, the Chamber will continue to achieve new milestones and significantly contribute to the nation’s development.

During the annual session of PHDCCI, Union Home Minister Amit Shah highlighted the importance of political stability and policy continuity in driving reforms to foster industrial growth. He emphasized the crucial role of the Indian industry in realizing the goal of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047, crediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary leadership for creating a conducive policy environment to expand Indian industries.
