India becoming a global AI leader under PM Modi’s vision: JK Tech CEO

India is quickly emerging as a global powerhouse in artificial intelligence (AI), thanks to the strategic vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said Sameer Nagpal, President and CEO of JK Tech, on Tuesday.

Speaking to IANS during an event in the national capital, Nagpal credited the government’s proactive role in fostering an ecosystem of innovation, research, and AI-driven development.

“India is moving swiftly in the AI space under PM Modi’s leadership. The government is not only supporting AI development but also promoting its application in healthcare, governance, and digital infrastructure,” Nagpal said.

He noted that in today’s digital economy, data is the new oil. “If companies focus on quality data, they can generate better insights and drive more informed decisions,” he added, emphasizing that “right insights come from right data.”

Nagpal believes that the government’s strong push for AI will empower both large corporations and startups to leverage cutting-edge technology for sustained growth.

Highlighting India’s dominance in the global IT sector, he stated that the development of a national-level large language model (LLM) backed by the government will further cement India’s leadership in the global AI landscape.

“This will help India take a leadership position in the AI revolution,” Nagpal said.

Abhishek Singhania, Founder and Director of JK Tech, echoed this sentiment, praising Indian engineers worldwide for their contributions to AI. He lauded the Modi government’s recent move to allocate ₹10,000 crore for AI research and development, calling it a “major leap” toward building a robust AI ecosystem in India.

Meanwhile, JK Tech announced a new partnership with Inveniam, a data integrity platform for private market assets. The collaboration aims to revolutionize the alternative investment sector through a next-gen platform that leverages blockchain and AI technologies.

“The partnership with Inveniam will reshape global private markets using AI and blockchain, enhancing data integrity and transparency,” the company said.
