PM Modi interacts with Leading Tech CEOs, Showcases India’s Technological Advancements

Prime Minister Modi recently interacted with prominent technology CEOs, emphasizing India’s significant progress in the tech sector. During the discussions, he highlighted the country’s innovations and achievements, showcasing its growing role as a global leader in technology.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with top American tech CEOs during a roundtable in New York to discuss technology, innovation, and India’s progress in these areas.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister described the meeting as “fruitful,” expressing his satisfaction with the positive outlook toward India.

The roundtable, hosted by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), covered key topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Technology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, IT and Communication, and Semiconductor technologies. The discussions provided an in-depth look at the evolving global technology landscape and how these advancements are enhancing well-being worldwide, including in India.

PM Modi commended the MIT School of Engineering and its Dean for facilitating the gathering of tech leaders. He emphasized that collaboration in technology, particularly through the Initiative on Critical and Emerging Technologies (ICET), is central to the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership.

Looking ahead, the Prime Minister asserted his government’s commitment to making India the third-largest economy globally and urged companies to leverage India’s growth for collaborative innovation. “They can co-develop, co-design, and co-produce in India for the world,” he stated, highlighting opportunities arising from India’s economic and technological advancements.

He reassured business leaders of India’s dedication to protecting intellectual property and fostering technological innovation. Modi also pointed to the country’s economic transformation in sectors such as electronics, IT manufacturing, semiconductors, biotech, and green development.

He shared his vision for India to become a global hub for semiconductor manufacturing and highlighted the country’s BIO E3 policy aimed at establishing India as a biotech powerhouse. Regarding AI, he mentioned India’s commitment to promoting its ethical and responsible use under the “AI for All” initiative.

The CEOs expressed strong interest in investing and collaborating with India, recognizing the potential for startups to drive innovation and technology development in the country.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, India’s emergence as a global technology hub, supported by innovation-friendly policies and vibrant market opportunities, received considerable praise from the tech leaders.

Notable CEOs in attendance included Sundar Pichai (Google), Arvind Krishna (IBM), Julie Sweet (Accenture), Shantanu Narayen (Adobe), Lisa Su (AMD), and Jensen Huang (NVIDIA), among others.
