President Murmu at BIT-Mesra’s Platinum Jubilee
President Droupadi Murmu will participate in the platinum jubilee celebrations of the Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) Mesra in Ranchi on Saturday, marking 75 years of academic excellence, research, and technological innovation.
The President’s visit has led to extensive security arrangements and traffic diversions across the city to ensure a smooth event. Ranchi’s Deputy Commissioner, Manjunath Bhajantri, has been overseeing the preparations, coordinating with officials for logistics and security management.
A high-security contingent of 10 IPS officers and around 1,000 police personnel has been deployed across Ranchi. President Murmu is staying at the Raj Bhavan during her visit, with all necessary precautions in place for her safety.
To facilitate the event, several changes have been made to the city’s traffic system. From 6 AM to 10 PM, vehicle entry is restricted in designated areas, and large vehicles are barred. Additionally, from 3 PM to 7 PM, small cargo vehicles will also be prohibited in the city. Vehicles traveling towards Kanke, Ratu, Kanthitand, Daladli, and Kathal Mor will need to follow specific routes between 3 PM and 6 PM.
Traffic restrictions will also be enforced around key areas, including Airport Road, Hinoo Chowk, Birsa Chowk, and Raj Bhavan Mor, with incoming vehicles from Kanke Road, Ratu Road, Kathal Mor, and Kanthidand being redirected via alternative routes like Kanke Ring Road, Lalpur Chowk, and Kantatoli Road.
Authorities have urged residents to comply with traffic regulations and cooperate with security officials for the successful execution of the event.
