BSC of Chicago commemorates 75th Republic Day of India

Bharatiya Senior Citizens of Chicago in collaboration with ‘Mandi Theater’ organized a celebration to commemorate the 75th Republic Day of India. The event was a cultural extravaganza. The highlight of the evening was a Hindi Play ‘The Antidote’, followed by a cultural program, singing and dancing.

The event started with a melodious ‘Ganesh Vandna’ by BSC Secretary Rasila Dobariya, followed by a ‘Deep Pragatya’ ceremony. All the attendees honored India’ National Flag and sang the national anthem in unison. A short video of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Ayodhya Ram Mandir ‘Pran Pratishtha Mahotsav’ was played and the evening was filled with a sense of patriotism. This was followed by a ‘Ram Charit Manas’ book distribution to all the BSC members.

The evening was filled with fun, devotion as well as patriotism. The audience enjoyed classical dance performances by Sonali, Ramya and Swati. Writer Paul Chopra was applauded for his mimicry. Jimmie and Shika Tandon made the evening melodious with their singing. The event ended with a scrumptious dinner.
