On Sunday, April 13, 2025, the Sindhi Association of Metropolitan Chicago (SAMC) hosted a spiritually enriching and joyous Cheti Chand 2025 celebration at Ashyana Banquets. The event was a tribute to the vibrant Sindhi culture, with sacred rituals, heartfelt devotion, and energetic dance performances that embodied the essence of Sindhiyat.

The evening began with the Behrana Sahib and a soul-stirring Arti led by Mrs. Devika, whose devotion filled the room and moved many in the audience to tears. Devotees sang and swayed, invoking Jhulelal Sain, the beloved Ishta Dev of Sindhis. The highlight of the evening was the Jhulelal Juloos procession, where women in bright Sindhi Ajrak and men in traditional Sindhi topis carried the Behrana Sahib in a beautiful display of faith and unity. The ritual was followed by an immersion ceremony and the distribution of prasad.
