FIA celebrates excellence with Bollywood star Jaya Prada and Sparsh Shah at Star Awards Night

The Federation of Indian Associations (FIA), under the leadership of Chairman and Founder Sunil Shah, hosted a memorable Star Awards Night on August 16, 2024, at the Matrix Club in Naperville. This prestigious event united community leaders, influencers, and members to honor exceptional contributions across various fields.

The evening kicked off with a powerful performance by Sparsh Shah, a Guinness World Record holder and renowned singer and rapper. His medley of patriotic songs, accompanied by local dance troupes, set an inspiring tone for the night, highlighting themes of perseverance and passion.

Bollywood actress Jaya Prada, celebrated for her elegance and multiple Filmfare Awards, added glamour to the event. She received the FIA Choice Award for Timeless Icon in Indian Cinema, recognizing her significant impact on the Indian film industry. Her presence was a highlight of the night, well-coordinated by FIA’s current and past office holders.

The event featured dynamic performances by social media influencer Deepika Shah, who boasts over 8 million followers, as well as Nache Mayuri and Elizar Dance Academy. Their lively tribute to Jaya Prada’s iconic songs energized the audience, creating a nostalgic and unforgettable experience.

Pratibha Jairath, FIA President, played a key role in the event’s success alongside Sunil Shah and Vinita Gulabani, Past President of FIA. Their efforts ensured a smooth and celebratory evening. Rita Shah’s heartfelt rendition of the patriotic song “Dil diya hai jaan bhi dengey, Aye watan tere liye” added an emotional touch to the event.

A standout moment of the night was the recognition of India’s World Champion Blind Cricket Team, who received a standing ovation for their remarkable achievements and inspiring spirit. This tribute highlighted FIA’s dedication to celebrating diverse forms of excellence and perseverance.

The Star Awards Night also honored a range of individuals and organizations for their exceptional contributions. The awards recognized leadership, community service, innovation, and dedication, celebrating both prominent figures and unsung heroes. The event showcased a broad spectrum of talent and commitment, reaffirming the community’s appreciation for those who inspire and elevate through their efforts.

Notable guests, including Somnath Ghosh, Consulate General of India; Mayor Tom Daily; State Senator Raja Krishnamoorthi; and State Senator Laura Murphy, presented key awards. The evening underscored FIA’s mission to celebrate community achievements, supported by various media outlets. Special thanks were extended to performers and honorees, including Sparsh Shah, Jaya Prada, Deepika Shah, and India’s Blind Cricket Team, for their exceptional contributions. Gratitude was also expressed to all attendees and supporters, reinforcing FIA’s commitment to recognizing and celebrating the community’s accomplishments.
