Founder and Chairman Sunil Shah reflected on FIA’s journey as one of the region’s most dynamic Indian community organizations. He acknowledged the efforts of past and current leaders for strengthening the organization’s outreach and fostering unity among the Indian diaspora. Outgoing President Anu Malhotra expressed gratitude to her team and volunteers for a successful year of community engagement through cultural events, medical camps, and outreach initiatives.

Vice Chairman Neil Khot shared his appreciation for the organization’s collaborative spirit while briefly noting his candidacy for the U.S. Congress from Illinois’ 8th District, reaffirming his commitment to community representation.

The highlight of the evening was the announcement of the FIA “Dream Team 2026”, introducing a leadership structure that reflects inclusivity, diversity, and renewed vision. For the first time, FIA appointed two co-presidents — Mr. Altaf Bukhari and Ms. Richa Chand — marking a significant step toward shared leadership. Other key appointments include Sonia Luther as Senior Executive Vice President, with Executive VPs Chintan Patel, Ajanta Sharma, and Prashant Mehta.

The extended leadership team features an expanded panel of Vice Presidents, Secretaries, Cultural and PR members, and specialized teams for Membership and Event Management — showcasing FIA’s commitment to structured growth and volunteer engagement.
