Gujarati play ‘Patni Nachave, Te Ne Kon Bachave’ enthralls Bharatiya Seniors of Chicago

The Bharatiya Seniors of Chicago (BSC) kicked off their 2025 programs with an electrifying performance of the Gujarati play Patni Nachave, Te Ne Kon Bachave on March 15, 2025. The event, held at the Rana Reagan Community Hall in Carol Stream, was a grand success, drawing an enthusiastic audience of around 1,000 BSC members.
Gujarati play captivates Bharatiya Seniors of ChicagoFeaturing the renowned Gujarati stage actress Ketki Dave and her talented team, the play was a sold-out spectacle that won the hearts of senior attendees. The evening commenced with a soulful Ganesh Vandana, presented by newly elected BSC Secretary Rakshika Anjaria, setting a divine tone for the event.
Adding to the evening’s significance, Hanover Park Mayor Radney Craig and his panel addressed the gathering, urging members to actively participate in the upcoming April 1 elections by voting in large numbers.

Honoring Departed Members

In a solemn moment, BSC members observed a two-minute silence in memory of Late Shardaben Patel, wife of BSC President Haribhai PatelKripal Patel, son of BSC member Girish Patel; and Hemiben Patel’s husband, who recently passed away in India.

BSC Leadership Elections

During the event, BSC Vice President Hirjibhai Ponkia led the election process for the 2025-26 executive committee. The members unanimously elected Haribhai Patel as the new BSC President, recognizing his leadership and contributions to the community. Additionally, Rakshikaben Anjaria was elected as the new Secretary, succeeding Rashilaben Dobaria. The executive committee also welcomed Dinesh Bhatt and Damji Patel as new members.

The evening concluded with a warm camaraderie among attendees, as they enjoyed a delicious dinner before bidding farewell.
