
Indian seniors of Chicago spread festive cheer with Christmas gift distribution

The Indian Seniors of Chicago (ISC) celebrated the holiday season with warmth and community spirit by distributing Christmas gifts to its members during a special gathering. Over 400 stainless steel plate sets, each containing four plates, were distributed as tokens of appreciation and goodwill, reflecting ISC’s commitment to service and togetherness.
The program opened on a devotional note with a recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa, setting a positive and spiritual tone. Members celebrating birthdays in December were honored with flower bouquets, personally presented by Pallavi Darji, adding a heartfelt touch to the festivities.
In observance of Geeta Jayanti, a special path (recitation) was conducted by Bhupendra Suthar, Jayesh Shah, and Hemant Modi, highlighting ISC’s dedication to preserving India’s spiritual and cultural heritage.
Hemant Modi, Treasurer of ISC, presented the organization’s financial report for the previous month, ensuring transparency and keeping members informed about ongoing activities. A moment of gratitude followed as Navin Patel presented flower bouquets to the event’s sweet sponsors, Kirankumar and Malti Shah, in recognition of their generous support.
ISC President Dilip Patel shared updates on the printing of member ID cards with photographs, aimed at improving organizational efficiency. Volunteers including Jayesh Shah, Naishad, and Yogendra were acknowledged for their dedicated support, which ensured smooth coordination throughout the program.
The event concluded with heartfelt thanks from Navinbhai Patel and President Dilip Patel, followed by a collective prayer and lunch, reinforcing the values of unity, gratitude, and togetherness that define ISC.
The gathering underscored ISC’s ongoing commitment to fostering community bonds, celebrating cultural and religious occasions, and supporting senior members with care and respect.
