
Kaival Youth Shibir celebrates spiritual growth and community service in Greensboro, NC

To commemorate Gurugadi Sarsapuri Kaival Gnana Pithadhishwar Pujya Jagatguru Sri Avichaldevacharya Maharaj Shri’s 75th Amrit Janmotsav, the “Sat Kaival Youth Shibir” took place from June 26 to June 30, 2024, in Greensboro, North Carolina, USA. The event began with children and youth participating in upasana of Divine Paramguru Shrimat Karunasagar and Kaival Gyan satsang under the guidance of Jagatguruji. A food packing outreach initiative followed, aiming to provide meals for those in need.
The “Amrit Janmotsav Youth Competition” featured various engaging contests that saw enthusiastic participation from the youth. Subsequently, participants enjoyed outdoor games in the park with Jagatguruji, recognizing the role of sports in fostering motivation, courage, discipline, and concentration.
A workshop focused on developing creative and social skills was organized, enriching participants’ overall growth. The third day was dedicated to recreational activities, where children engaged with nature at the zoo while young adults enjoyed kayaking and hiking adventures.
On the final day, youth and young adults showcased their learnings through testimonial speeches and kirtan performances. Pujya Jagatguruji delivered an inspirational discourse highlighting the contributions and future aspirations of the Indian American community in the USA.
The overarching goal of the youth camp was to nurture holistic development encompassing physical, mental, and spiritual dimensions. With sports playing a pivotal role, this 5-day camp infused participants with renewed energy and focused their attention on life goals. Under the blessings of Pujya Jagatguruji, the camp aimed to provide a transformative experience for all attendees.
