The Kali Bari Mandir hosted a spiritually uplifting Kumari Puja (Kanya Puja) on the auspicious occasion of Chaitra Navaratri Ashtami, drawing around 150 devotees from across the community. The sacred ceremony, organized under the guidance of priest Nagabhushan Deekshit, celebrated the divine feminine by honoring young girls as embodiments of Goddess Shakti. The ritual symbolizes purity, compassion, and the nurturing power of the Divine Mother, an important aspect of Navaratri traditions.

The day-long program began in the morning with Sankalpa (spiritual resolve) and invocation of Goddess Durga, creating a deeply devotional atmosphere within the temple premises. By midday, devotees gathered for the main Kumari Puja, where young girls were respectfully worshipped, followed by the distribution of prasad to attendees.

The celebrations concluded in the evening with soulful bhajans and a grand Maha Aarti, filling the temple with devotion and collective spiritual energy.

Community members participated enthusiastically throughout the day, engaging in prayer, seva (service), and fellowship. The event reflected the strong cultural and spiritual roots of the Indian community, while fostering unity and shared devotion.

Organizers extended an open invitation to all devotees, emphasizing the importance of preserving and participating in such sacred traditions that strengthen community bonds and spiritual values.
