Poetry enthusiasts in Schaumburg were treated to an exceptional Mushaira event on Saturday, July 20, thanks to the efforts of Asif Salim of AS Entertainment. Held at 165 W Central Rd, this grand celebration of literary art drew over 150 attendees who were captivated by an evening rich in poetic performances and cultural exchange. The event commenced with a special inauguration ceremony for a new book by the esteemed poet Manzar Bhopali. This ceremonial start set an illustrious tone for the night’s proceedings. The presence of chief guest Iftekhar Shareef further elevated the event’s significance and prestige.

The Mushaira featured a diverse lineup of poets from across India and various states in the USA, each presenting a unique blend of poetic styles and themes. Among the standout performers was Anwer A Roomi, whose evocative Ghazals and Shayaris left the audience spellbound. The event was adeptly hosted by Farrukh Khawaja and Shagufta Hasin, whose skilled emceeing ensured a smooth and engaging experience for everyone involved. Attendees were also treated to a sumptuous dinner, which complemented the cultural experience with a delightful culinary addition.
