Ram Navami festivities shine at Senior Club Chicago with music, dance, and devotion

Senior Club Chicago, USA, celebrated Ram Navami with great enthusiasm on 23 April 2025, drawing over 200 members to the event. The occasion was meticulously organized by the club’s leadership team, with Chairperson Pinkiben Dineshbhai Thakkar, President Shri Naresh Shah, Vice President Rameshbhai Punatar, Secretary Mukeshbhai Mehta, Treasurer Mitalben Patel, and Board Members Avaniben Shah, Birjuben Shah, Ritaben Shah, Jayshreeben Pandya, Leelaben Patel, Neelamben Patel, and Madhuriben Thakkar working together to ensure its success.
The celebration kicked off with a Ganesh Vandana performed by Pinkiben Dineshbhai Thakkar, followed by a heartfelt puja in honor of the late Shri Bharatiben Shah, wife of President Shri Nareshbhai Shah. Her daughters Mishaben Shah and Avaniben Shah were present to offer their tribute.
As part of the Ram Navami festivities, Kanubhai Patel portrayed Lord Ram, Hansaben Patel as Sita, Mukeshbhai Mehta as Lakshman, and Jai Prakashbhai Shah as Hanuman. Their entrance was accompanied by the sound of the dhol, adding a vibrant touch to the celebration.
Mitalben Patel, who was instrumental in organizing the event, invited Sarojben Patel to lead the Ramdhun. Sarojben presented a soulful rendition of a Ramdhun she composed herself. Rujutaben Pancholi then shared the significance and glory of celebrating Ram Navami.
In honor of Mahavir Jayanti, Geetaben Shah and her group recited the Navkar Mantra, bringing a spiritual touch to the festivities.
The event also featured a Senior Talent Show, showcasing the talents of club members. Solo performances included songs by Kantilal Patel, Hareshbhai Thakkar, and Vasudevbhai Thakkar, while Rupalben and Sarangbhai Shah also performed a beautiful song. A stunning dance was performed by Hansaben Patel, adding grace to the celebration.
A group performance by Jayashreeben Detroja’s group and a beautiful dance by Jayashreeben Pandya, Diptiben Mehta, and Rupalben Shah concluded the cultural segment, leaving the audience in awe of the talent on display.
