Shreeji Dwar Haveli in Addison, Illinois, celebrated its 17th Patotsav (temple anniversary) with spiritual fervor and vibrant community participation. The celebration united hundreds of Vaishnavs from across the Chicago area, reaffirming the temple’s role as a beacon of devotion and cultural heritage.
Acharya Goswami 108 Shree Madhusudan Lalji Mahoday, fondly known as Shree Tilak Bawa, was specially invited from Ahmedabad, India, by Dr. Umangbhai Patel, Chairman of the Haveli, to lead the celebration. The day opened with a grand Shobhayatra—a devotional procession featuring singing, traditional dance, and drums—as devotees accompanied the sacred image of Shreeji through the temple grounds. Ceremonies such as the Flower Mandal Manorath, Tilak ritual, and Rajbhog Aarti were performed by Shree Tilak Bawa, who also led an inspiring Vachanamrut on the virtues of Vivek, Dhairya, and Ashray.
Youth from the VYOE and Tavasmi group enriched the program with Yamunashtak recitations, a presentation on Pushtimarg principles, and a dramatic performance on the life of Shree Vallabhacharyaji. Shree Tilak Bawa praised their dedication and encouraged future participation. The event culminated with Shayan Aarti and Mahaprasad, bringing a serene close to a spiritually uplifting day. Thanks to the combined efforts of temple trustees, volunteers, and families, the 17th Patotsav stood as a powerful testament to enduring faith and unity within the Vaishnav community.
