
United Senior Pariwar, Chicago, Celebrates Holi with Music, Devotion, and Community Spirit

The United Senior Pariwar, Chicago celebrated the vibrant festival of Holi – Rangotsav with great enthusiasm at Swaminarayan Mandir, Wheeling, IL. The event brought together 350 members and guests for an evening of music, devotion, and community bonding, featuring mesmerizing performances by renowned singers Avni Singh and Saif Ali.
The celebration began with a warm welcome from President Ramesh Chokshi, followed by a prarthna (prayer) sung by Jyotsna Chokshi. The traditional Deep Prajwalan (ceremonial lamp lighting) and Pujan were performed by Avni Singh, Saif Ali, Dr. Rashmi Patel, and core committee members, with the Puja ceremony conducted by Acharya Shree Rohit Joshi.
The highlight of the evening was a captivating musical performance by Avni Singh and Saif Ali, who delighted the audience with a mix of classic and contemporary Bollywood songs. Guests enthusiastically joined in, dancing and celebrating the joyous spirit of Holi.In addition to the entertainment, Dr. Rashmi Patel shared insights on an upcoming Mokshdham cremation project and distributed certificates to members who contributed $1,500 towards the initiative.
The event also honored members celebrating their birthdays in March, with sweets distributed as a token of good wishes.
During the gathering, Mr. Bhanubhai Vyas was elected as the new Secretary of United Senior Pariwar. Taking his oath, he pledged to serve the organization with dedication and integrity, receiving warm congratulations from attendees.
The joyous evening concluded with a delicious lunch catered by Swaminarayan Mandir, Wheeling, leaving attendees with a sense of togetherness and festive delight.
