In a historic ruling, the Varanasi District Court has granted Hindus immediate rights to worship at the sacred ‘Vyas ka Tekhana’ within the Gyanvapi mosque complex. The court’s directive ensures the commencement of pooja in the basement of the mosque.

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America (VHPA) expresses deep appreciation for the thoughtful and just decision of the honorable court. This landmark ruling restores the rights that were unlawfully taken from Hindus in November 1993. The VHP underscores that this case is fundamentally about property rights and not a conflict against any minority group, the decision, grounded and irrefutable evidence presented by the Hindu side, aligns perfectly with the principles of justice. Extensive archaeological survey conducted by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) have previously unearthed the undeniable evidence, indicating that the Gyanvapi mosque was constructed following the demolition of a Hindu temple,
the VHP applaud the court for recognizing the significance of this evidence and making the only correct decision.

Vishnu Shankar Jain, representing the Hindu side, declares, “it’s a significant victory”, highlighting the commitment of Hindus to fight for their rights in the court of law, adhering to principles of justice and legality, rather than resorting to street protests.
