David Warner makes Telugu film debut with Robinhood cameo
Australian cricketer David Warner has made his acting debut with a cameo in the upcoming Telugu action film Robinhood, directed by Venky Kudumula and starring Nithiin in the lead role.
Producer Y Ravi Shankar revealed Warner’s cameo at a recent promotional event for Kingston, a film starring and produced by G.V. Prakash. He expressed excitement about Warner’s entry into Indian cinema but quickly apologized to director Venky Kudumula for disclosing the surprise without prior approval.
“We are very happy to have launched David Warner in Indian cinema with Robinhood,” Ravi Shankar said.
Robinhood features Nithiin as a daring thief named Honey Singh, who steals from the rich to help the poor. The film, originally set for release last year, is now scheduled to hit theaters on March 28, 2025.
Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar, the film stars Nithiin and Sree Leela in lead roles. G.V. Prakash Kumar has composed the music, while Sai Sriram has handled the cinematography. The film’s editing is by Koti, with art direction by Raam Kumar.
