Beyonce: Fame can sometimes feel like a cage.

Grammy-winner Beyoncé has opened up about her music, family life, and the complex nature of fame, which she describes as occasionally feeling like a prison.

In a recent interview with GQ Magazine to promote her new whiskey line, Beyoncé shared her creative philosophy: “I work at my own pace, aiming to create something that resonates with others. I hope my art inspires people to explore their own creativity, strength, and resilience.”

She emphasized her focus on “storytelling, growth, and quality,” rather than striving for perfection. “I concentrate on evolution, innovation, and shifting perceptions.”

Beyoncé noted that her current projects, including the music for ‘Cowboy Carter’ and her new whiskey line, do not feel burdensome. “These endeavors feel liberating, unlike the constriction of fame,” she explained.

She continued, “When you don’t see me at red carpet events or when I take breaks from the public eye, it’s because I need space to create and recharge.”

Despite her global fame, Beyoncé strives to maintain a sense of normalcy for her family. “One of my main goals is to give my children as much privacy and normalcy as possible, keeping my personal life separate from my public persona,” she said. She shares her life with daughter Blue Ivy, 12, and twins Rumi and Sir, 7, with her husband, Jay-Z.

Beyoncé also spoke about her daily routine and family life. “Most mornings, I start my day around 6 a.m., fitting in some work before the kids wake up,” she shared. “Balancing parenting with work, I embrace the beauty and chaos of it all.”

She described her home environment as lively and vibrant, filled with family, friends, and spontaneous activities. “I’ve been focusing on my health, taking supplements, and eating clean. I’ve given up meat except for turkey this summer. I’m working on finding the motivation to exercise regularly, though today I might skip it—maybe tomorrow.”
