Malayalam Actor Bala Ties the Knot Again

Malayalam actor Bala, who was recently out on bail related to a case under the Juvenile Justice Act, has remarried in a ceremony held at a local temple near Kochi.

Following his separation from his first wife, Amrutha Suresh, Bala had been seen with a medical doctor until recently. “Her name is Kokila—she’s part of our close circle. My 74-year-old mother couldn’t attend the wedding,” Bala shared, asking Kokila to step in front of the camera. “We need your blessings, please pray for us,” he added.

Notably, Bala was arrested at his home on October 14 in connection with the case. He subsequently applied for bail, which was granted by the Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate Court under strict conditions, including a prohibition on public comments about the case or speaking to the media.

The 41-year-old actor and Amrutha Suresh separated in 2019 after nearly a decade of marriage. Suresh, a well-known singer, and Bala have had a contentious relationship since 2015, with public disputes escalating recently. Tensions rose when their daughter posted a video on social media alleging that Bala had been tormenting her, which he denied, stating that arguing with a child was not something a man should do.

Bala comes from a prominent film family that owns Arunachala Studios. His father, Jeyakumar, has directed over 350 films and documentaries. Bala made his film debut in 2002 and has achieved significant success in South Indian cinema, particularly in the Malayalam film industry. He also made his directorial debut with the 2012 action film “The Hitlist,” in which he starred.

Last year, Bala underwent liver transplant surgery.
