World witnessed Bharat’s remarkable capabilities at AI Summit: PM Modi in ‘Mann Ki Baat’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said the world witnessed “Bharat’s remarkable capabilities” in artificial intelligence during the recently concluded AI Impact Summit 2026 held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.

Addressing the 131st episode of his monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat, the Prime Minister described the summit as a turning point in shaping the future use of AI globally. He noted that leaders, industrialists, innovators and start-up representatives from across the world participated in the five-day event held from February 16 to 20.

PM Modi said the summit served as a strong platform to showcase India’s technological achievements. He highlighted that he personally presented several innovations to world leaders during the exhibition segment of the event.

Among the displays, two products particularly impressed global delegates. The first, showcased at the AMUL booth, demonstrated how artificial intelligence is assisting dairy workers in managing cattle health and improving productivity. The second innovation focused on cultural preservation, illustrating how advanced technologies can safeguard ancient knowledge, traditions and scriptures while making them accessible for future generations.

Referring to the exhibition display of the ancient medical text ‘Sushruta Samhita’, the Prime Minister explained how technology enhanced manuscript image quality to make it readable, converted it into machine-readable format and enabled an AI avatar to interpret the text. He added that the system also demonstrated translation of the knowledge into Indian and foreign languages using AI tools.

“The world leaders showed great interest in learning about Bharat’s ancient knowledge through a modern avatar,” he said.

PM Modi emphasized that the summit reinforced India’s position as a leading force in human-centric and ethical AI development. He also announced that three ‘Made in India’ AI models were launched during the event.

Calling it the largest AI summit held so far, the Prime Minister praised the enthusiasm of young participants and innovators. He congratulated all participating nations for contributing to the success of the global gathering.
