PM Modi promises harsh response to Pahalgam terror attack
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has issued a strong warning to the terrorists responsible for the recent attack on innocent tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Speaking on Sunday during the 121st episode of his monthly radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat,’ PM Modi assured the nation that the perpetrators and conspirators behind this heinous act would face the harshest response.
Expressing deep sorrow, PM Modi said, “Today, as I speak to you from the heart, there is deep agony within me. The April 22 Pahalgam terror attack has left every Indian heartbroken. Regardless of state or language, every citizen feels the pain of those who lost loved ones.”
He condemned the cowardice behind the attack, stating that such acts reflect the frustration of those who support terrorism. “At a time when peace was returning to Kashmir, when schools and colleges were active, construction projects were booming, democracy was strengthening, and tourism was reaching record highs, enemies of the nation could not tolerate it,” he said.
PM Modi emphasized that the attack was a deliberate attempt to disrupt Kashmir’s growing prosperity and stability. “Terrorists and their masters want to push Kashmir back into darkness, which is why such a conspiracy was planned,” he added.
Highlighting the nation’s unity, he said, “The greatest strength in our war against terrorism is the solidarity of 140 crore Indians. This unity is the foundation of our decisive fight against terror. We must strengthen our resolve and demonstrate our willpower.”
The Prime Minister also acknowledged the international support following the attack. “Condolences have been pouring in from around the world. Global leaders have reached out to condemn the attack and express their support for the families of the victims,” he noted.
Concluding his address, PM Modi reiterated his commitment to justice, saying, “I once again assure the victim families that justice will be served. The perpetrators and conspirators will face the harshest consequences.”
